Early Christmas Present

The other day I stopped by the local grocery store with my three boys to pick up a few items.
As we stood in the checkout line the boys started getting rowdy as usual and I was just about to settle them down when an older gentleman came up behind us in line. He saw that the boys were giving me a hard time so he very slowly took his hand and reached around in front of the boys and all of the sudden his thumb started glowing red. He proceeded to give the boys a magic show with this disappearing and dancing red light right there in the checkout while I took care of paying. He was a very nice man, a tad overweight, white hair, white beard, glasses and a nice smile. See where I'm going with this?

I got the grocery's taken care of, said thank you to him and walked out to the car. After getting the kids buckled in and ready to go I thought how nice it was of him to help me out and how when I think of the old stories of Santa Clause, that's the kind of person I think of. As I was walking around the back of the van to get in he passed me in his truck, a red one.
